Emerge II: Radiating Ports is an exhibition of works by Zayed University (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) students and alumni. It is a response to a workshop given by Italian artist Fabrizio Plessi that refers to a metaphor resonating with \u201cthe fluidity inside of us\u201d, the fluidity that makes it possible for identities to be formed and cohered.<\/p>\n

The young artists, in a variety of collaborations, have explored thresholds dictated by urban cultural activity and the fluidity that exists in their own environment \u2013 from the ships of the desert to movements of sound through the UAE landscape.<\/p>\n
